She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Cavan and Margaret Cavan (McTaggart); her siblings, Hugh, Gerard, Stephen, Rita and Monica; and her brothers-in-law, Bill and Robert.

She is survived by: her children, Justin Cavan (Katherine), Amy Cavan-Tayes (Mike) and Zachary Bartlett; and her sisters, Ann Cliché (late Bill Cliche), Joan Craft (late Robert Craft) and Maureen Ried (Skeeter). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
