She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Merrick (Doucette) and Wilfred Merrick; her son Wesley Russell; and her siblings, Joseph, Richard, Joan, Willie, Mary and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her husband Julian "Rick" Russell; her children, Larry Russell (Ellie), Linda Richardson (Mike), Randy Russell (Ann), Julie Smith, Rick Russell (JoAnn), Cheryl Addison (late David), John Russell, Bill Russell (Michelle), Jaqueline Russell and Jeanette MacLeod (Aubrey); and her siblings, Pat Merrick (Linda), John Merrick (Linda) and Florence Parks (late Ed). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home (152 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis, NB E2E3S6).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances of Shirley may be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of the donor's choice.
