Shane Allan Wilson Obituary
It is with absolute devastation that the family of Shane Allan Wilson, beloved husband of the late Sandra (Fenwick) Wilson, announce his unexpected passing on May 3, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on August 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Edward and Esther (Robson) Wilson.
Shane dedicated 38 years to the Canadian Coast Guard, serving the Saint John and Halifax areas with distinction. He had a profound love for boats and lighthouses and could often be found enjoying a lobster dinner at his favorite seafood spot in St. Martins. Beyond his career, Shane was deeply devoted to his family, adoring his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and warmly welcoming his partner Stephanie's extended family into his life.
Shane will be missed beyond words by his daughter Natasha (Corey) Savoie; grandchildren: Austin Wilson and Kitana Savoie; great grandchildren: Kinsley Wilson and Raya Wilson; daughter by choice: Tamara Bourgeois; siblings: Tracey-Lee Saunders, Trudy Taylor, Marky Wilson, and Larry (Beth) Wilson; special brother-in-law: Guy Woodland; partner Stephanie Smith, and her family, children: Natasha Thomas and Samantha Thomas; grandchildren: Taylor, Neveah, J-Lynn, and Mitchell; and great-grandson: Zane; as well as several nieces and nephews. He will also be irreplaceable to his best buddies: Gordie Ford, Wayne Myers, Billy Baker, and Dave the Electrician.
Besides his parents and his wife Sandra, Shane will be reunited with his many siblings: Faithy Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, Mary Woodland, Nancy Bradley, Ellen "Lully" Wilson, Martha Nowlan, and Sally McAllister.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB, (506-646-2424). The family will have a small visitation on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 12PM - 2PM with a Celebration of Life to follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 2PM. Donations in memory of Shane can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. This service will be livestreamed.
