He was predeceased by: his father Russell Douthwright; his former wife Julia Douthwright (Hanley); his siblings, Aubrey Douthwright, Clive Douthwright and Carol Perry; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald White, Robbie Larsen and Bernice Douthwright.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Douthwright (Brown); his children, April Douthwright (Eric) and Joel Douthwright; his stepchildren, Jason MacCallum (Darlene) and Candace MacCallum Collins; his grandchildren, Karissa Douthwright, Ashton Douthwright, Nathanael Collins and Renee Davidson (Trent); his sisters, Audrey Murphy (Norman), Rosella McCann (Robert) and Diane Larsen; and his niece Laurie Hutchings (Jim).
In lieu of flowers a donation to the ALS Foundation, the Cancer Society or Bobby's Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
