Rosalie Penney-Chaisson Obituary

It is with broken hearts the family of Rosalie Penney-Chaisson, loving wife of the late Edward Chaisson, wish to announce her passing which occurred on May 1, 2023, at the Ketepec Manor. She was born in Carbonear, NF, September 14, 1937, to the late John and Hannah (Jerrett) Moores.

She was employed in home care with the Canadian Red Cross before her retirement. She was a woman of deep convictions and strong faith and attended North Side Assembly. She was often found sharing time over a cup of Tim Horton's coffee with her friends.

Surviving is her daughter, Sandra Locke, sisters; Ruby Phelan, Patricia Wiseman (Robert) and Joan Downton (Fred), her many grandchildren & great-grandchildren, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Edward, and her parents John and Hannah Moores, she was predeceased by her sons, Calvin & Sheldon, her daughter, Beverley, and her sisters, Ruth Oliver & Dorothy Hayes.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), with visiting hours on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 11am until 2pm at which time the funeral service will take place in the Fundy Chapel. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
