He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ogg and Marion Mitchell (Lee); his son Michael; and his siblings, Billy, Agnes, Marion, Jean, Lena, Betty and Edna.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine (Organ); his siblings, Gordon "Bud" Mitchell (Mary) of Saint John, Dorothy Boddington (Fred) of Saint John and Patricia Mitchell of Saint John; his daughter-in-law Pamela Mitchell (Charles Belliveau) of Fredericton; and his grandchildren, Christopher (Shannon), Catherine and Caitlyn. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
