He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hillier and Edith Hillier (King); and his stepmother Beatrix Hillier (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Olive Hillier (Rideout); his sons, Jeffrey (Gail Virgin), Timothy (Mark Carson) and Andrew (Carolyn Camp); his grandchildren, Mia Hillier, Jack Hillier and Anna Hillier; his siblings, Judy Green (Hubert), Sandra Dyke and James Hillier; his aunt Ruth Short (Vernon); and also Kim Pak. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Bob can be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church in Rothesay, the SPCA, or a charity of the donor's choice.
