She was predeceased by: her former husband Malcolm Long; her parents, Ronald "Buster" Hargrove and Grace Hargrove; her parents-in-law, Percy and Sadie Long; and her in-laws, Mitchell Carr, Ron, Jean, Anna Long, Alma and William Currie.

She is survived by: her children, Gregory (Kim), Wayne (Denise) and Heather (Roy); her grandchildren, Joe (Ada), Kiera (Kyle), Khristian (Emma), Konnor (Anna), Cody and Chelsey (Mac); her great grandchildren, Darcy, Sam, Clara, Frances and Jude; her sister Mary Carr; and her husband Mac Long. She is also survived by her family and her beautiful friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Luke's Anglican Church (369 Main St, Saint John, NB E2K1J1).

“It is with heavy hearts Glen and I bid another lovely ‘lady’ an adieu. We met Pauline (and Mac) when we were all involved with Kingston Peninsula Heritage, they were always positive, pleasant and personable. The last time we chatted, was last summer at the Summerville Art Festival, I had no idea she was ill, she was even then promoting and supporting the Saturday breakfasts at St. Luke’s. So come warmer weather we’ll be supporting St Luke’s in memory of a woman I admired greatly. Judi Baxter”
