She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wright and Edith Wright (Parker); her husband John Henry Searle; her son Richard Paul Searle; and her siblings, Eugene, Frances and Bonita.

She is survived by: her stepmother Daisy Wright (Clark); her children, Elaine DeLong (Gary) of Browns Flat, NB, John Henry Searle (Deb) of Miscouche, PE, Stephen Searle of Saint John, NB and Wendy Searle of Red Head, NB; her siblings, Joan Gosse (Jack) of Public Landing, Grace Wright (Gary) of Saint John, James Wright of Public Landing and Thomas Wright (Mary) of Saint John; her grandchildren, Wendy Matheson (Donnie), Melissa DeLong (Glenn Norman), Lisa Jones, Heather Searle, Alana Searle (Mike Welk), Katherine Searle, Christopher Searle and Matthew Searle (Amanda LeClair); and her niece Nancy Bogle. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
