With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary McHugh of Saint John, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Johannah McHugh. She is survived by: her siblings, Bridget (Jesseau), Dermott, Dorothy (Boyle), Thomas, Firmin, Jack, Edward, Eric, Charity and Mary Beth McCurdy; her niece Brenda Tobin (Brian Tobin); her friends, Andrea Brown, Patti King, Carol Ryan, Donna Little and Anne Vickers Connolly; her nieces and nephews, Cec Jesseau (Betty Jesseau), Albert Boyle (Alice McDonald), Anne-Marie Doherty (Mark Doherty), Barbara Gill, Neil Jesseau (Sherrie Jesseau), Edward McHugh (Shelly McHugh) and Mary Schmidt (Delbert Schmidt); and her sisters-in-law, Mary McHugh and Joan McHugh.
She courageously left her family and hometown in August 1946 to begin her lifelong journey as a Sister of Charity of the Immaculate Conception.
