She was predeceased by: her husband John Edward Fortune; her parents, Gabriel Gordon and Melvina Gordon (Cormier); her siblings, Pearl, Mike (Janet), George and Gerald; her sons, John Edward "Jack" (Pamela) and Sean Bernard; and her close friend Jack Stevens.

She is survived by: her sister Rita; her children, Carol Fortune, Richard Fortune (Nicole) and Cathy Fortune (Dave); her grandchildren, Angela Campbell (Jim), Sarah Campbell (Seth), Jack Fortune (Ammie), Kris Fortune (Erin), Sandy Fortune (Seungmin), Wayne Fortune (Elyse), Scott Fortune, Amanda Fortune (Tommy) and Stephen Fortune (Kaylee); and her great grandchildren, Gabe Campbell, Calvin McCaffrey, Ash McCaffrey, Zoe Campbell, Quinn McNamara, Lukas Fortune, Haydee Fortune, Emmy-Lou Fortune, Daphne Fortune and Hardy Lutz.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name would be appreciated to New Brunswick Social Pediatrics or the Imperial Theatre in Saint John.
