He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy and Jean Porter (Leslie); his brothers, David and John Porter; and his brothers-in-law, David McKenna and Curtis Dempsey.
He is survived by: his wife Jo-Anne Porter (Williams); his daughter Leslie Porter; his brother Donald Porter (Judy); his grandchildren, Melonie, Kaylie Desjardins and Ethan; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald (Janice), Lewis (Judy), Mark and Michael Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many of his extended family and friends.
