He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Lohnes and Evelyn Lohnes (Long); his stepmother Catherine Lohnes; his siblings, Shirley Wells and Vernon "Joe" Leroy; and his parents-in-law, Cecil Allen and Doris Allen.

He is survived by: his significant other Sharon Allen (Allen); his sons, Leo (Arlene), Wayne (Trina) and Jason (Michelle); his brother Melvin Leroy (Carol); his brother-in-law Murray Allen (Darlene); his grandchildren, Katelyn, Devon, Shawna, Owen, Nathan and Brent; his great grandchildren, Ryder and Hunter; his nieces and nephews, Tara Baxter, Sharon Baxter, Lori Maker (Jeff), Nikki Allen, Megan Winn (Jarrett), William Leroy (Dorothy) and Paul Baxter; and his pet Cooper.
