She was predeceased by: her husband George Johnston; her parents, Charles Cherry and Mary Cherry (Hunter); her brothers, Greg Cherry of Saint John, Lloyd Cherry of Ontario and Douglas Cherry of Halifax, NS; and her sister-in-law Margaret Cherry of Saint John.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Johnston (Janet) of Saint John, Carl Johnston (Beverly) of Hopewell Cape, Wayne Johnston (Annette) of Saint John, Gary Johnston (Colleen) of Saint John, Tom Johnston (Donna) of Saint John, Barbara Agnew (Wayne) of Quispamsis, Karen Johnston of Saint John and Lynn Johnston (Albert Bourgeois) of Saint John; and her sister-in-law Helen Cherry of Halifax. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
