She was predeceased by: her husband Donald John Toomey of Quispamsis; her parents, Clevelend Nickerson and Marie Nickerson (Goulden); her brother Cleveland Jr. Nickerson (Virginia); her niece Diane; and her nephew Jack Nickerson.

She is survived by: her nephew Arthur; her niece Pamela; her daughters, Kay, Debra Sullivan (Joe Hyndman) of Halifax and Sherry Arsenault (Don) of Rothesay; her granddaughter Natasha Arsenault-Longo (Anthony); and her great grandchildren, Ayden, Julia, Elana of Arlington, Mass, Christine Josey (Mark), Paxton and Oliver.
