He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward Nelson and Jessie Ann Knox (Yoston); his son Randy; his siblings, Nelson, John, Clarence and Jessie Howe; and his siblings-in-law, William Howe, Geraldine Knox and Sadie Knox.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; and his daughter Linda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
