She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Porter and Frances Porter (Wice). She is survived by: her significant other Shawn Murchison; her daughters, Erica MacDonald, Kendra MacDonald (Aaron Vautour) and Melissa MacDonald (Andrew); the father of her children Richard MacDonald; her siblings, Shirley Marr (George), Robbie Porter (Diane) and Mary Arsenault; her grandchildren, Shawn and Derrick; and her pet Pumpkin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
