She was predeceased by: her parents, George Chase and Beaulah Chase; her brother Norman Wickens (Mary Ann); her nephew Michael Barton; and her brother-in-law Ken Barton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia Barton, June (Mercina), Griffith (Ernest), David (Mary), Allan Wickens, Mac Wickens (Janet) and Paul Wickens of Hamilton Ontario. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Josephine's memory can be made to Bobby's Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
