We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2024, at the age of 77, John Ernest Ballem MacMillan of Saint John, New Brunswick, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Ernest MacMillan and Florence MacMillan (Gillis); his sister Marie Illos (William) of South Carolina; his niece Lisa MacMillan Chamberlain; his parents-in-law, Olive Bowen and Douglas Bowen; and his daughter-in-law Patricia MacMillan.

He is survived by: his wife Melda MacMillan (Bowen); his children, Tanya Hunter (Patrick) of Saint John, NB and Brett MacMillan (Donna) of Saint John, NB; his grandchildren, Brendan Williams, Ashlee, Braeden and Bailey Hunter; his great grandchildren, Aubree, Lyla, Jaxton and Olive Hunter; his sister Joanne Drabble (Richard) of Calgary, AB; and his sisters-in-law, Darleen Horne (Dave), Ruth Lamb (Dave) and Lois Woodman (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
