He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. A. Douglas Gibbon and Audrey Gibbon (Balcom); his wife Keltie; and his daughters, Mary, Katelyn and Catherine.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charlotte Turnbull, Stephen Gibbon (Candace) and William Gibbon (Caroline). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and nephews.
