We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Harvey Lewis Coates (Saint John, New Brunswick), born in Botwood, Newfoundland. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Coates and Ivy Coates (Francis); and his siblings, Raymond, Rose and Marie.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coates (Joyce); his children, Brenda Melanson (Bill), Shawn Coates (Tina), Rosanne Coates, Richard "Blake" Coates, Mary-Ann Foley and Daniel Coates (Michelle); his brothers, Owen Coates (Gillian) and Tom Coates (Gail); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Brent, Morgan, Mason and Benjamin. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
