It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Anne Gillies (Saint John, New Brunswick), who passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sisters, Patricia Roy and Korean O'Brien; her parents, Agnes Bannister and Fred Bannister; her husband Arnold Gillies; her sons, Arnold Wayne and David Wayne; and her close friend Carl Mains.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Gillies (Melissa) and Carrie Gillies (Nicky Alexander); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Abigail and Alyssa; her great grandchildren, Mariah, Madelyn and Emmett; and her siblings, Brian Bannister (Susan), William Bannister (Lucy), Katherine Sullivan, Margaret Smith, Beverly Cormier and Bonnie Duffy (Pat). She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Donations to the CNIB or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
