He was predeceased by: his father Gordon R. Hunt. He is survived by: his mother Fran Ethel Jean Hunt (Horseman); his daughter Missy M. DeLong; his siblings, Terry Hunt (Tammy), Johnny Hunt (Eileen), Linda Hunt and Carol Hunt (Bernie Pye); his grandson Adam (Hayley); his great grandchild Ella; his mother-in-law Bonnie Jensen; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy London (Hal) and Herbie Jensen (Christine Organ). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the Saint John SPCA or a charity of the donor's choice.
