He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCaughey and Colina McCaughey (White). He is survived by: his significant other Hannah McCaughey; his children, John McCaughey and Colina Lutes (Jim); his grandchildren, Dayna (Jeremy), Michael (Christine) and Thomas (Ragnheidur); and his great grandchildren, George, Russell, Jimmy and William. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Riverside Country Club (2524 Rothesay Rd, Rothesay, NB E2H2K7). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (101 Coburg St, Saint John, NB E2L3J8).
