He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Kernighan and Doris M. Kernighan (Pierce); his wife Marilyn Beth Kernighan (Ross); and his siblings, Carolyn Doherty and Lin Kernighan.
He is survived by: his daughter April Fraser (Chipman Leslie) of Beaver Harbour, N. B.; his siblings, John Kernighan (Barb), David Kernighan (Sheila), Michael Kernighan (Karen Gordon), Ethel Smith (John), Pearl Hailey (Bill), Sharon Montgomery (Kenneth) and Heather Hooper (Dwayne); his grandsons, Anthony Fraser and Tyler Fraser; and his great grandchildren, Blaze and Arzaylea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
