He was predeceased by: his parents, Teman Thompson and Harriet Thompson (Joudry); his daughter Donna Lyttle; and his siblings, Palmer, Stuart, Marion, Thelma, Mildred, Viola, Gwendlyn, Edith and Ruth.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Thompson (Falkenham); his son David (Pam); his grandchildren, Cory, Chelsey (Steve) and Courtney (Craig); and his great grandchildren, Maddie and Deegan.
