She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McLean and Nancy McLean (Mullin); and her brother Andrew. She is survived by: her cousin Sandra Russell (Fairlie); her husband Rory Ervin; her stepmother Kathleen McLean; her brother John (Donna); her stepdaughter Marjory Seidel (Jason); her granddaughters, Izabelle and Maddison; and her brothers-in-law, Michael (Karen), Patrick (Nancy), Frank (Denise) and Shane (Pippa). She is also survived by several nieces, nephew and cousins.

Donations in memory of Fairlie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
