Elsie Marie May Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elsie Marie May (Saint John, New Brunswick), born in Rogersville, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Carl "Buddy" John May; her parents, Chester Rushton and Josephine Rushton (Richard); her siblings, Leslie Rushton, Perley Rushton, Stanley Rushton, Percy Rushton, Lottie May, Mae Nolan and Laura Rushton; her son-in-law Richard McCluskey; and her close friend Olive MacNeil.
She is survived by: her children, Carl (Donna) of Alberta, Chris of Alberta, Stephen (Don) of Toronto, Susan McCluskey of Saint John and Wanda Ellis (Tim) of Saint John; her grandchildren, Angie Fisher (Dave), Katie May, Curtis May (Tessa), Bill McCluskey (Sandra), Kevin McCluskey (Kristin) and Melanie Steeves (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Becca, Hayden, Abby, Kalym, Sayde, Avery, Claire and Nora. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fundy Funeral Home (230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John, NB E2J2G3). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (4347 Loch Lomond Rd, Saint John, NB E2N1C8).
Donations in Elsie's memory may be made to the Loch Lomond Village - Cedar House or The Alzheimer's Society of New Brunswick.
