He was predeceased by: his parents, Alyre Richard and Josephine Richard (Martin); his wife Diane MacEachern; and his siblings, Louis Richard, Leo Richard (Alfreda), Alderic Richard (Doreen), Elie Richard (Adrianna), Aubert Richard (Geneva), Annette Richard (Dolor), Ida Richard and Cleopha Richard.

He is survived by: his daughters, Yvonne Richard (Rob Saturnino) and Michelle Richard (Herb Thompson); his grandchildren, Leanne Kristoffersen (Petter) and Hilary MacDonald (Josh); his great grandchildren, Irelyn MacDonald and Sonora MacDonald; his stepchildren, Ivan Goguen (Louise), Kim Williams (Charles) and Brenda Raynes (Mark); his brother Anthony Richard (Emeraldine); and his sister-in-law Marie Richard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
