He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Godsoe and Ina Godsoe; and his parents-in-law, Gerald and Joyce Purkis. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerrie" Purkis; his children, Duane (Tanya) and Heather (Tim); his sister Sharon; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayley (Kevin), Sydney, Rachel, Jaiden, Jorja and Brooklyn; his great grandchildren, Paisley and Blake; his sister-in-law Beryl Pryor (David) of England; his close friend Keith Purdy (Lynn); and his pet Baxter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
