He was predeceased by: his brother Hartsford Rumson. He is survived by: his children, Michael Rumson (Kathy), Laurie Flood (Rob) and Lisa Rumson (Jason); his siblings, John (Rose), David (Max) and Joan Rumson; his friend Bob Babineau; and also Lois Rumson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews.
