He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Albion and Lena Ada Merrithew (Stairs); and his siblings, Haldene, Gerald, Donald, Wynona and Anna.
He is survived by: his wife Rhoda (Garnett); his children, Peter Merrithew (Stacey), Linda Bizeau (Wayne), Saint John and Marianna Wilson (Darren) of Nevada, USA; his grandchildren, Breanna (Jamie), Makoda, Brandon, Taylor, Michael (Taylor) and Jennifer (Brian); and his great grandchild Jack. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Donations in memory of Doug may be made to The St. Joseph's Hospital CAM Unit or to the charity of the donor's choice.
