He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph F. McGinnis; and his daughter Colleen McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Ian McGinnis of Saint John and Craig (Sarah) of Halifax; his brother Richard McGinnis (Florine) of Saint John; and his sisters-in-law, Susan McGinnis and Elizabeth Candline. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
