He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lourie and Louise Lourie; his wife Shirley Lourie; his brother Raymond Lourie; his sister-in-law Barbara (Maine) of South Portland; his sister Dorothy Dober of Halifax, NS; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Irvine.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Paul Dober of Halifax, NS; and also, Norman and Gayle Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
