With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Vernon Emery Patterson of Saint John, New Brunswick, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David Vernon Emery left this world on October 23, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Patterson and Dorothy Patterson (Veitch); his children, David Mark and Michelle; his sister Nancy Elder (Edward Elder); and also Kelley Elder.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Patterson (Plumbley) of Saint John; his son Paul (Lori); his sister Patsy; his son-in-law Jeff James (Kelly); his grandchildren, Matt (Jennifer), Sondra (Brian), Ryan, Taylor and Shannon; and his great grandchildren, Lyla, Reid, Wyatt and Colter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
