He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil McLaughlin and Ida McLaughlin; his brothers, Larry, Roger and Jeffrey; his brother-in-law Daniel Childs; and his pet Shelby Girl.
He is survived by: his wife Janet McLaughlin (Beatteay) of Saint John; his stepdaughters, Amanda Rushton-Morrison (Matt) of Quispamsis and Cynthia Rushton of Saint John; his siblings, Helena Goodine (Sanford), Patricia Comeau (Robert), Wanda Childs, Audrey Doiron (Richard), Mark McLaughlin and Allison McLaughlin; and his grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, Sofie, Chance, Luke and Max. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
