He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Ellot Acker and Jean Acker (Trimper). He is survived by: his wife Debby (Carter); his children, Charity Brown (John) of Ontario, Jason of Alberta and Alice Agyekum (Robert) of New Brunswick; and his siblings, Robert Acker (Mary) of Delaware and Ruby Fraser (Howard) of Nova Scotia. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
