She was predeceased by: her parents, William White and Ruby White (Fitzgerald); her husband Vernon Whitney; and her brothers, Robert White, David White and Rick White.

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Downs of Riverview, NB, Kevin Downs (Charlene) and Jeff Downs (Cindy) of Stellarton, NS; her stepchildren, Rob Whitney (Wendy) of Saint John, NB, Rose Fowler (Ross) of Rothesay, NB and New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jamie (Tyson), Thomas, Jeremy and Justine; her great grandchild Bodhi; her stepgrandchildren, Benjamin, Melissa, Andrew (Samantha), Victoria (Nathanael), Greg (Derrica), William, Sophia and Olivia; her stepgreat-granddaughter Bethany; her siblings, William White (Marion), James White (Peggy) and Janice Clements (Robert); and her siblings-in-law, Pam White, Ruth White and Peter Whitney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
