Bonita left this world on July 20, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Pierce and Jean Pierce (Parker); her brother Mark Pierce (Debbie); her sister-in-law Debbie White; and her cousin Beverly Higgins.

She is survived by: her husband Bob Purdy; her sister Lois (Barry Moore) of Grimsby; her children, Andrew (Uma), Sara of Quispamsis and Christine (Allan MacDonald) of Toronto; her grandchildren, Ryan Purdy, Abby, Julia Osmond, Angus and Robbie MacDonald; her brothers-in-law, David Purdy (Candase) of Picton and Ed White of Toronto; and her cousin Nancy Pierce of Quispamsis. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and incredible close friends.
