She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bannon and Dorothy "Dolly" Bannon (Beman); her husband Frederick Hopey; and her children, Richard "Ricky" Hopey and Chrissie Hopey.
She is survived by: her children, Derek Hopey (Debra) of Halifax and Kelly Culm of Saint John; her sisters, Linda Dempster (Leonard) and Mary Sullivan of Quispamsis; her grandchildren, Jay and Dillon; and her close friends, Judy, Peter Pickett, Dixie, Danny Marmen and Mary Rutherford.
