With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Beatrice Mable Ellsworth (Saint John, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sweet and Esther Sweet (Crosby); her husband Joseph Ellsworth; her sons, Joe and Bob Ellsworth; her son-in-law John O'Brien; her great grandchild Frankie Edwards; her siblings, Ed Sweet (Mervil), Bob Sweet, John Sweet (Joan), Millie Ashe (Clifford), Betty Mills (Garnie), Nancy Smith (Jack), Edith Winchester (Murray), Ann Shirley Bent (Carl Sabean) and Mary McAndrew (Andy); and her brother-in-law Wayne Harrington.
She is survived by: her children, John Ellsworth, Dave Ellsworth (Nadine), Sandy MacDonald and Teresa O'Brien; her daughter-in-law Brenda Ellsworth; her sisters, Barb Edison (late Charlie) and Sharon Burke (Larry); her grandchildren, Trish Ellsworth (Richard Frenette), Tracy Edwards (Chris), Julie Ellsworth (Francois Lemire), Katie Ellsworth, Joe Ellsworth (Asma Benmoussa), Sarah Butler (Ryan) and Steve O'Brien (Jill); and her great grandchildren, Sophie, Ellie Frenette, Georgie Edwards, Vinnie, Theo Lemire, Ivan, Ayla Ellsworth, Dylan, Cohen Butler and Jacob O'Brien. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brenan's Funeral Home (111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB E2K3H6). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Brenan's Chapel (111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB E2K3H6).
