He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Ross Lowney (Gallant) and Frank G. Lowney; his wife Veronica (Tootsie); his grandson Jeffrey Lowney; his sister Theresa Walker (late Robert "Bobby"); his stepfather Frank Ross; and his siblings-in-law, Edward (Kathleen) and Dawn Saunders.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Andrea) and Kevin (Joan); his grandchildren, Anthony, Mya (Andrew), Jeremiah (Mieke), Joshua (Jill), Brianna (Darryl), Kaylee (Ryan), Sara and Matthew (Nathalie); his great grandchildren, Seth, Kaden, Veronica, Rose and June; his sister-in-law Shirley Walker (late Lawrence); and his cousin Shirley Coleman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
