We are sad to announce that on August 19, 2024, Léopold Cormier of Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphe Cormier and Ida Cormier (LeBlanc); and his siblings, Léonard, Arice, Hervé, Ulysse, Marc, Rosée and Diana.

He is survived by: his wife Alfreda Cormier (Melanson); his children, Lisette Graff (Murray), Lillianne Dunstall (Scott) of New Hamburg, ON, Joanne Berg (Jonathan) and Daniel (Trudy) of Kitchener, ON; his grandchildren, Stacey, Melissa, David, Danielle, Chantalle, Kyle, Shane, Donovan, Morgan, Connor, Kendra and Jade; and his siblings, Odette Cormier, Zella Robinson of Saint-Antoine, Anne-Marie Girouard (Aurèle) of Saint-Joseph and René (Ernestine) of Irishtown. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.

In Léopold's memory, donations may be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine or to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent.

“Dave and I were very sorry to hear of Leo's passing. Our thoughts and prayers to all the family and friends, Despite trying our best we are unable to make it to his funeral. We will be thinking of you all, Leo will be remembered fondly by us. Dave has many stories of growing up with Leo and Alfreda as a second family. Hugs to all Bev and Dave Melchin”

“Condolences from the Pompers of Kitchener, ON and Boise, ID (former "across the street" neighbours) I remember Mr Cormier (I would never dream of calling him Leo back then) fixing the drywall in our home after my father had ripped out walls to open up the stairway. I remember visiting with Danny and seeing Alfreda fill Leo's lunch box with sandwiches that looked like most of a loaf of white bread and so much lunch meat.”
