He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Lajeunesse and Winnifred Lajeunesse (Durepos); and his siblings, Auguste "Pit" (late Ginette), Armand, Maurice, Roger and Marie-Jeanne.

He is survived by: his significant other Diane Godreau; his son Danny Godreau (Nadine Levesque); his grandchildren, Isabella Jones and Jacob Godreau of Drummond; his siblings, Ida Theriault, Paul (late Claudette) of Montreal, Patsy Ouellette (Yvon Côté) of Grand Falls, Yvette Theriault (Roger) of Saint-André, Lauraine (Réjean Laplante) of Grand Falls, Ghislain (Suzanne) and Aline (Fernand Boudreau) of Saint-André; his sisters-in-law, Lucille (late Armand) and Madeleine (late Maurice); and also, Kim Lagacé (Denis Perreault) of Grand Falls and Jason Lagacé (Mélanie Dionne) of Drummond. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
