He was predeceased by: his parents, Camille Laplante and Edwina Laplante (Lavoie); and his siblings, Marie-Mai, Roland and Yves.

He is survived by: his spouse Line Laplante (Moreau); his daughters, Julie Levesque (Tony) of Oromocto and Diana Michaud (Enrico) of Grand Falls; his grandchildren, Nadia, Élodie, Félix and Zoé; and his siblings, Gisèle Laplante (Gérald) of Edmundston, Réjean (Jocelyn), Camilla Leclerc (Daniel), Nicole Paradis and Suzanne Laplante (Michel) of Saint-Antoine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
