He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Cyr and Alda Cyr (Poitras); and his brother Clairmont Cyr. He is survived by: his wife Pierrette Cyr (Caron); his daughter Manon Cyr Perley (Len) of Dieppe; his grandson Mason; and his siblings, Aline Beaulieu (late Richard) of Saint-Leonard, Jeannette Gervais (Roger) of St-Leonard-Parent, Armand "Piton", Albert (Diane) of Saint-Leonard, Lorraine Martin (Guillaume) of Drummond, Rino (Verna) of St-Leonard-Parent and Gilles (Mona) of Saint-Andre. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
