He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chappell and Margaret Chappell (McFadden); and his son Nicholas. He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, Chris (Cyndi), Anthony (Michelle), Melina (Chris) and Daniel (Amy); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jocelyn, Nicky, Hannah, Mya, Marysa, Liam, Ava, Aria, Layne, Halayiah and Thea; his great grandchildren, Delilah and Bradley; and his siblings, Clifford (Thelma), Bob (Wanda), Barbara Johnstone (Benjamin) and Gail Estabrooks (Eric). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
