He was predeceased by: his parents, Linus "Tom" Cook and Florence Cook (Holmes); his wife Lillian (Briggs); his daughter Pamela Armstrong; his granddaughter Lisa Cole; and his siblings, John, Eugene, Deanna and June.
He is survived by: his grandson Paul Cole; his great grandchildren, Patrick Cole (Robyn) and DJ; his great great grandchildren, Kallie, Kaylee and Gracie; his siblings, Raymond Cook, Keith Cook (Mary), Dan Cook (Marlene), Mona Emslie and Gerry Craigen; his son-in-law Hartley "Bud" Tower; and his close friend Kenny Holmes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his cousin.
