He was predeceased by: his parents, Neita Briggs (Wall) and William Briggs; his wife Dorette Loretta Briggs (Girouard); his daughter Nancy Read; and his sister Carol Belliveau.
He is survived by: his daughter Joan Young (Lynnwood) of Stilesville, NB; his son-in-law Kevin Read (Susan Henwood) of Sackville; his brother-in-law Fred Girouard (Sue); his brothers, Walter Briggs of Melrose, NB and Carmel Briggs (Marceline) of Truro, NS; his grandchildren, Stacey Lynn Read (Peter Whittleton) and Jonathan Raymond Read (Kaylee Read); and his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Cedric and Emily. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Drew Tantramar Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of one's choice.
