He was predeceased by: his parents, Merley James Wheaton and Ethel May (Phinney); his siblings, Margaret (William), Geneva (Beverly), Neta (Laurie), Donalda (Dutch), Erma (Winston), Doug (Lucy), Herman (Gertrude), Clarence (Betty), Cecil (Muriel) and Retias; his son-in-law Gordon Fearon; and his father-in-law Sherman Richards (Verna).

He is survived by: his wife Dianne of Midgic, NB; his children, Merley Wheaton (Mark Nagy) of Ontario, Berdie Fisher (Dana) of Florenceville, NB, Linda Wheaton of Sackville, NB, Jocelyn Allen (Vernon) of Bass River, NB, Doug Crosthwaite (Jen) of Dorchester, NB, Danny Wheaton (Lois) of Sackville, NB and Kathy Wheaton (John) of Dorchester, NB; his grandchildren, Clara, Maeve, Eliza, Denise, Andrew, Zachary, Rebecca, Jessica, Nicole, Zachary C., Abby, Evan and Katelyn; his pets, Justin Trudeau (Cat) and Hercules (Dog); his sister Caissie Harper; and his sister-in-law Maddy Wheaton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Floyd may be made to the Midgic Cemetery, the IWK, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice.
